Allen Bradley’s 2711-T10C16L1 is a PanelView interface module, belonging to the PanelView Standard 1000 Terminal series. This PanelView is designed with the intent of helping users input information into a machine. This is accomplished using the Panelview’s touchscreen input display; this 10.1 inch display has a 1-million-press touch actuation, full-color resolution of 640 x 480. Its backlight’s half-life is around 50,000 hours at 25 degrees Celsius, and its actual display area measures 8.3 x 6.2 inches. Information deemed important by the user is timestamped by this module’s built-in clock, which is backed by field-replaceable batteries. This module runs on DC power only, specifically on 24 Volts DC of input voltage. It communicates through an RS-232 DF1 port and a Printer port, also RS-232. On average, it consumes close to 24 Watts of power (or 1.0 A at 24 Volts DC). The 2711-T10C16L1 runs PanelBuilder32 software, enabling the user to easily navigate the PanelView system. This PanelBuilder32 software can also be run on a user’s personal computer.
