The 2711-T10C1L1 by Allen-Bradley is part of the Panelview 1000 series and is engineered to allow users to interface effectively with a machine. This module has a multi-color display screen of 10 inches diagonally, which doubles as this module’s touchscreen input. Its 8.3 x 6.2 inch display has a resolution of 640 x 480, which is made up of 384 touch cells. Its backlight can last for a half-life of 50,000 hours at 25 degrees Celsius and its battery-backed clock will timestamp information marked as important. With 256 KB of application runtime memory and 1008 KB of nonvolatile memory, this module can store a good amount of data and commands; it does, however, support an ATA flash memory card as an additional, external memory option. Its PanelBuilder32 software (which can also be run on a personal computer) makes this module easy to navigate and operate, and its ports allow it to connect to a variety of different types of networks. The 2711-T10C1L1 requires at least 24 Volts of DC power to operate, consuming approximately 24 Watts (1.0 A at 24 Volts DC)

With a weight of 3.6 kilograms (approximately pounds) and dimensions of 282 x 370 x 112 millimeters (11.11 x 14.58 x 4.40 inches), the 2711-T10C1L1 module is a relatively small unit to install. When installing the main unit, all connecting power sources should be completed shut off. This unit’s clock battery can be replaced in the field. It can also operate in temperatures as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit (or freezing point, for water), although ideally it should be kept between the two extremes.
