How to identify the Active Side of an HMI Touch Screen Panel Glass? For Resistance Touch Screen (4/5/6/7/8 Wires): VICPAS HMI Repair Center share some tips for separate: Let's check the connection between the touch glass and the flexible cable. The side that comes out of the flexible line is the function surface of the touch panel. If you hold the touch digitizer glass up and investigate the connection, the side that is flat with the flexible cord is the functional side of the touchpad, while the connection that feels like a step is the glass side of the analog resistance type touch screen monitor in 4 wires / 5 wires / 6 wires / 7 wires / 8 wires. Do not judge which side is active by the color of the conductive silver ink. The black conductive silver paste line is not necessarily the active side, the yellow side is not necessarily the glass side. In addition, do not judge by the screen printing, the printed side doesn't have to be active, it can be a glass side. For Matrix Digital Touch Panel: Matrix digital screens, like resistive touch screen panel, can determine which side is positive by where the flexible cord connects to the touchscreen panel. The side out of the flexible cable is the touch digitizer's active side. For Projective Capacitive Touchscreen: The side with the cover lens is the positive side of the capacitive touch screen monitor. If there is no cover glass, the outgoing side of the PFC (Flexible Printed Circuit) is the active side and the other side is the glass side.

Touchscreen common problem 1: touchscreen insensitive1.Use cloth to clean dust or foreign matter on the touch screen.2.Turn on the touch screen software for calibration.3.Loosen the screws on the back of the LCD screen, which may be caused by too tight on the top of the touch screen. 4.Replace the touch screen data cable USB port with the U port, which may be caused by insufficient power or damage of one of the U ports.5. There is a problem with the touch screen driver and reinstall the driver. Touchscreen common problem 2: touchscreen non-responsive1.Check whether the touch screen control card has a green light blinking: Determine if the power supply is normal. 2. If the calibration procedure can be opened: determine whether the control card is normal or not.3.Change the USB port of the touch screen data cable to U port detection.4.The touch screen driver is not installed, or the USB port and driver do not correspond. 5.Touch screen screen posted or damaged.

What is the structure of a resistive single touch screen?4wire and 5wire resistive touch screen is a two-layer structure, two materials (film or glass) with ITO are attached with a gap between them so that the ITO layers are facing each other. Touch input will be made as the top layer is pressed down and the two ITO layers contact. There are insulators called spacing dots between the top and bottom ITO layers. These spacing dots prevent unintended contacts (inputs) of the ITO layers when not pressed.2. How to clean a touch screen?Cleaning with a Microfiber Cloth 1. Choose a microfiber cloth. This is ideal for cleaning a touchscreen. Some devices will have such a cloth included or perhaps you can borrow one you use on your sunglasses.2. Turn off the device before commencing to clean it. It is usually much easier to see where to clean when the device is switched off.3. Give the screen a once over by brushing it with the microfiber in small circles.This will remove the majority of simple imperfections.4. Only if truly needed, moisten a cotton cloth, even the corner of your cotton shirt, and repeat the small circular motions. It may actually be enough to just breathe over the screen and use that moisture to clean with.5. Brush again with the microfiber cloth to finish off. Don't over-rub though!
