From August 16th to 18th, 2025, the VICPAS team embarked on our long-awaited annual team-building retreat in Guilin. Over the course of three days, we not only engaged in exciting and challenging team activities but also immersed ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of Guilin's landscapes and rich cultural heritage. This retreat showcased not only our team's fighting spirit and collaboration but also allowed us to create unforgettable memories in one of the world's most famous scenic destinations.

Day 1 · Challenge and Teamwork

Upon arrival in Guilin, we kicked off with a series of intensive team-building activities. From “Dragon Fetching Water” which tested speed and trust, to “Perfect Structure” which required precise division of roles, and finally “Drumming the Heartbeat” that highlighted rhythm and cooperation, every moment was filled with energy and teamwork. Cheers and laughter accompanied each challenge as our colleagues supported one another with passion and determination. During the final reflection, we all agreed: teamwork is just like work itself—when we give our all and collaborate, success will follow.

Day 2 · The Beauty of Guilin's Landscape

The day began with a visit to the 1,400-year-old Xingping Ancient Town, followed by a cruise on the most stunning section of the Li River. With its emerald peaks and crystal-clear waters, the scenery truly felt like “a boat sailing in a painting.” We marveled at iconic sights such as the “20 Yuan Note View” and the “Yellow Cloth Reflection.”

In the afternoon, we explored the magical Silver Cave, a world-renowned karst wonder. Its shimmering stalactites glittered like silver under the lights, creating a surreal underground palace. Later, we strolled along the Ten-Mile Gallery and experienced the tranquil beauty of the Yulong River bamboo rafting. As evening fell, we wandered through the lively West Street of Yangshuo, enjoying both the laughter of our teammates and the unique charm of this cultural crossroads.

Day 3 · Culture and Growth

After breakfast, head to Rongshan Lake Scenic Area, renowned for its harmonious blend of lakes, mountains, and cultural landscapes. The Sun and Moon Twin Towers, standing in the lake—one golden and one silver—shine brilliantly under the sunlight and are iconic landmarks of Guilin. Stroll along the lakeside and immerse yourself in the unique charm where Guilin's natural scenery meets urban life.

Next, visit Guilin's most emblematic attraction — Elephant Trunk Hill. Named for its resemblance to an elephant drinking water, this striking hill symbolizes the famous saying “Guilin's landscape is the best under heaven.” From the top, enjoy panoramic views where the Li River and Taohua River converge, creating a breathtaking scenery.

After the sightseeing, as the high-speed train carried us back home, the retreat concluded on a high note. It was more than just a trip—it was a journey of growth, connection, and shared achievements. Guilin's landscapes bore witness to our spirit of perseverance and unity, reminding us once again: together, we can go further!
